Dear participants in World Social Forum /South Asia Social Forum process

Some delegates of your organizations may be planning to come to Dhaka in november 18th 22nd, and we will heartily welcome them!

However, we know that cost and time availability can be a great obstacle to participation for many.

We are pleased to announce that

SASF is intended to be, inasmuch possible, an “EXTENDED” EVENT,
open and friendly to "extended participation", outside Dhaka SASF venue.

This means that

You can consider yourself a participant to SASF,
even if your are NOT coming to Dhaka ,

Your organization can register activities/events in SASF,
even if it has NO delegates going to Dhaka

HERE IS HOW !

This can be done via collective use of internet , with the internet support and connectivity in the university venue in Dhaka , and the facilitation of an “extension working group”. and ..... your local self organizing. Only simple computers are needed, using widely known sites .

Your organization or network might be interested by one of the three possibilities of extended participation here :

- organize enlargement on internet of activities/events held in SASF Dhaka venue, (i-e live video stream and text chat ) in order to allow AND INVITE remote participation from outside Dhaka -  as an example see the enlargement of SASF general council meetings in august and october, 
see the list of 60 self organized events/activities  possibly enlarged

- organize your local SASF activities/events outside Dhaka during SASF days, at no cost,  (i-e a local meeting in your town, not connected to internet, or browsing sasf website collectively, or remotely participating to the enlarged activities in Dhaka( viewing a live video  and making written chat inputs in a chat room )

- organize “distance encounters” activities/events at no cost,  (i-e lively two hours long collective videolink/video chat on skype ) between your delegates in SASF Dhaka event, and your local groups elsewhere ,

We welcome you to

• Consider the extension dissemination in your area and stimulate local organisations to self organize
